finally decided to post:)
qing, clara and tock came to my house for english drama today. we were supposed to meet at 10am la then at 10.05 we called tock she say she just woke up can! omg la haha. but she rushed to my house:) while waiting for my damn slow printer to finish printing our scripts, they all siao siao one so bored asked wee to come entertain them. so wee came la LOL. had KFC for lunch AGAIN:) but it was nice la! haha. then jx and sze ying came too the 3 of them go play bball at the condo's pathtetic small basketball court. haha. then qing and tock left around 4pm. went to the gym with my mum. wl damn funny la! i run halfway on the track mill then clara, wee, jx and sy walked past LAUGHING!!! lol.

sherm, rach, huang, huixin, liting and i went to orchard to watch SHE'S THE MAN at cine. it was DAMN HILARIOUS la can. and huang, channing tatum is NOT cute. aw, bad taste HAHA. anyway bumped into xinxuan at cine and she was like "Oh my god!?!". we still had an hour before the show started so we walked around trying to decide on a place to eat. walked to heeren and sherm, rach and i decided on SAKAE:)) i think it was my shortest time ever at sakae. we had only about 35minutes to eat and rush back to cine. huang ate at pastamania and huixin and liting ate at kfc.
went into the theatre and sherm went to the toilet. me and rach were standing outside waiting for her like we were guarding the toilet or something. haha it was quite embarrassing. the movie is quite sick la but i laughed loads:)
rach had an appointment she needed to check her contact lenses, so can you imagine when the 5 of us 'escorted' rach into the optical shop? haha. we were like bodyguards sitting in a row in the shop. took mrt and met daphne on the way. rach (again) needed to go home to take her clothes, so me and sherm went home to get the bbq stuff ready while the others escorted rach home. what an honour. haha.
it was fun going out with them la. haha. INTERESTING.
i was quite sad that day also. the ENG ENGs and SOON SOONs were to meet with daniel at parkway that night. but it clashed with the badminton bbq timing so me and sherm couldnt go. sad. i hope there'll be a next time anyway. so we had badminton bbq that night and not that many ppl turned up.
sherm, me and wan ying were talking about obs and the instructors throughout the entire bbq. i guess we are OBS-SICK. if only it was a 21 day course..
i wonder what's going to happen now. and i wonder who the hell was the one who told the teacher.

5th day:
so sad it was the last day! i think all of us were hoping it would have been a 21 day course instead. that day our watch woke up very late - 5.55am. all of us were rushing cause we had to assemble by 6.30. dhanabalan also woke up late, but both the two watches managed to make it on time. had 5 exercises but did not have to do morning jog cause of the lack of time. after that we had this activity called LIFERUN. we were to go station by station and reflect. i never reflected more than that in my entire life. (gosh i make myself sound so old) that morning was indeed a meaningful one for me.
that morning was very rushed and we were behind schedule, so we did not take any pictures. we packed our bunks and ensured that nothing was missing in the store. then we carried our bags all the way downhill - it was super tiring. qing brought a trolley bag la! i wish i did too. haha.
we had our final briefing in the classroom as a whole cohort, and after watching the video the instructors made for us, we decided to present our song to dan! it was totally unexpected to everyone else in the classroom. we asked daniel to sit in the middle but he didnt. he sat in front of us instead. so we sang our song in front of MDM LENNY, MDM LEE, daniel, hiap luh, choon, Ghandi and Dhanabalan. i wonder why mdm lenny was there anyway. after we finished with the song daniel knowtowed to us. it was so sad. the 5 days came to an end so soon.
some ppl were like " i miss saying eng eng, soon soon, eat". i really miss that too, it was really fun being in ENG SOON. we laughed and laughed loads!
the send off was very rushed. we were supposed to leave at 2pm, but we got onto the boat at 3++pm. we got our certificates and in just less than 15 minutes, we were back to civilisation. we just couldnt bear to leave at all. we waved and waved, shouted our many goodbyes, and all of us were on the school bus headed for school.

1st day:
we reached school around 7.00am and took a bus to punggol jetty, where we took a boat to OBS camp 1.

when we reached camp 1, we had a briefing and we put our bags at our bunk, which was the one RIGHT AT THE TOP! i was quite exhausted by the time we reached the top it was like climbing up a hill and my bag was so heavy! but after walking up and down for 5 days i got used to it. we then gathered near the medical centre and took a watch photo!

the next activity was rock climbing! daniel climbed once for a demonstration and it looked so damn easy! i tried and i think i climbed only 3m before falling. gosh, it was way harder than i thought. mine and jiaxin's hands were aching like anything.

there was this part when jasmine was climbing and cihui was the belayer. jasmine fell off and cihui was supposed to support her. in the end, cihui was off the ground and some of us had to pull her down! haha it was quite fun la. the same thing happened to me too when i was belaying shermaine.

we did dinner duty and that night didn't really turn out to be good cause we did not meet the lights-out time. erm, dont really want to elaborate furthur but we slept around 12am.
2nd day:
we assembled outside the training hall at 6.30am. had flag raising, morning jog, 5 exercises, some games and morning circle. we had kayaking and all of us had to learn how to capsize! i was quite scared initially but after capsizing, it turned out to be quite simple. it was a very quick process though. 1 second you are in the water and the next second your head is out of the water and you are floating already. daniel sprayed us all with water after we finished kayaking cause we dint have time to shower. so we just rinsed and changed to get ready for the next activity which was at the inverse tower.
the first thing i thought when i saw it was 'WOW'. it was definitely not going to be easy if you try attempting to climb it. we were supposed to pair up with your buddy to do this challenge - in this case sherm was my buddy! so we climbed together la. lols.

3rd day:
it was our watch's turn to lead morning pt. valencia, sherm and me lead with the warm ups. it was quite fun leading morning pt as a watch. we had breakfast and went to the Indiana for the Indiana Arts Festival. each group had to act out a skit or song, to show what kind of characteristics a good leader should have. it was damn hot that day and the instructors were just under this shade thing from IKEA.

after that we were involved in other activities like the team ski, team link, matchstick game and find a tree. greace was so funny can! were were to be blind-folded and walk together to find the tree that we had chosen. halfway grace was like "let me go see my root there or not". blind folded and she knows where there are roots! i think she can go be a gardener she would be a very accomplished one! haha.

4th day:
the day of our see expedition! excited as we were, we still had to get alot of things done. we had to carry our life vests, two 2litre bottles, our paddles and kayaks all the way to the shore. we set off at 9am. after kayaking a few hours we got tired, and it began to drizzle. suddenly we saw a WHOLE rainbow!! i LOVE rainbows! haha. so it was like a positive thing that we saw a rainbow, and i think all of us felt better and thought more positively.

so much for the happy times! we had to enter a magrove swamp as it was stated on the map. we had to kayak throught this small passage way in a single file and there were 5 dogs at the sides barking at us! as we got deepper we had to stop at this point where we pulled our kayaks out of the swamp, bring it across the road, and back into the swamp on the other side. it was very very physically challenging, all of us had mud on our legs and hands. most had mud on their clothes and life vests too. daniel put mud on his face la! one word for it: YUCK.

we finally crossed the road and got the kayaks back into the other side of the swamp! all of us were muddy, and so were the kayaks.
after getting back into our kayaks and into the other side of the swamp, sherm and i realised that our kayak had a crack at the bottom and water was coming into our kayaks. but VERY SLOWLY. we weould bail the water out and the next 3 seconds more water would appear. once, the water was level with my seat! it was damn scary and we were afraid of capsizing. i want to thank liqin, yanti, crystal, delia, abigail, lynnette and all those who helped us in one way or another. im sorry to sherm for being angry. realised communication is very important.
we stayed up late to make daniel a card and to write him a song. all 16 of us were on 5 mattresses on the floor. it was quite a funny scene. it was way past 11pm so we turned off the lights and used torchlights instead. all of us were getting ready to lie on the mattresses if daniel came in. so many false alarms. a few of us would think that he was coming and we would pretend to sleep, but the person who came in was just one of our watch mates. daniel came at around 12am and it was so unexpected. cause usually he would open the door quietly, but that day he just opened it and walked in. all of us got a shock and we just lay on our mattresses. we were giggling can haha and it was so obvious we were awake. daniel was like " pretend pretend only arh". then he was like "oh sorry, i tripped accidentally" and he fell on jasmine, sherm and me la! it was so obvious he did it on purpose. he returned sherm's camera after he fell "ACCIDENTALLY", so i assumed he knew that we wouldnt be sleeping.

obs was SUPER fun! didnt really expected it to be that fun. our watch ENG SOON aka biscuit factory was just funny and gay. haha especially during meals where we would go " ENG ENG, SOON SOON, EAT ". it was super funny and i think we all laughed alot. our watched consisted of all the sports cca ppl plus those from red cross.

really had lots of fun with all you peeps! sea expedition was fun with qingyuan and valencia being the SEE-X leaders (according to the instructors daniel, choon and hiap loh). the last day was so sad we sang this song specially for daniel. it was just AWESOME (jasmine simply loves that word). we finished writing the song at 1 AM. but it was worth the time.

we sang the self-written song to the tune of MORE THAN WORDS it was so emotional. so sad that it was only a 5 day course. we took many pictures as a watch(: i miss sitting in a circle amongst our watch with daniel and sharing what we think. i miss everything. LOVE YOU PPL FROM ENG SOON!! remember we must eat together in school at least once ok!
the trust fall was so funny haha. after all of us had our turn, we asked daniel to fall. we carried him in this long sheet and kicked him like anything haha. but it wasn't hard kicks la. we were singing amazing grace and throwing flowers at him - one hit his face. haha. but he finally got out of the sheet we were holding. i will never forget that, and the games we played together as a watch - sherades, murderer, concentration, electricity, etc.
the other 2 watches were GHANDI (choon as instructor) and DHANABALAN (hiap loh as instructor), consisting of the performing arts + uniformed groups (except red cross they were part of the BISCUIT FACTORY) + clubs and prefectorial board + npcc respectively. i got loads more to say and i dont think i should write it all here haha it will be damn long. shall end here. really miss you ppl including the instructors!
